Round 3 Sign up post: Artists!

This is the post for people who would like to create art for the Inception Reverse Bang.

Artists will be expected to turn in at least one piece of art (and no more than two) by Sunday, June 23rd. This art may be a work in progress, a draft, or a finished product. This art will be posted anonymously, along with a a sentence or two about your preferred pairings (if any). Authors will then go on to claim art to write for, similar to the way artists claim authors' summaries in regular Big Bang challenges.

Authors will write a story of at least 3000 words inspired by the art, and posting will begin Sunday, September 15th.

Drawings, paintings, digital manips, and fanvids are all allowed as submissions. Art be at least 400px by 600px, or at least 1 minute in length if you are submitting a fanvid. For a more complete list of rules & the schedule, click here.

It is encouraged that artists have their work reviewed by an art beta. You may refer to our beta sign-up post to contact people who have volunteered to help out, or use your own betas (we will not be assigning betas in this challenge).

Due to the way art claims are set up, it would be difficult to ensure that an author would be familiar with an additional source of canon. In the interest of keeping things simple crossovers are not allowed in this challenge.

I would like to sign up but I would also like to make sure that my idea does not come across as a crossover.

The general gist is that the clips from the other sources are jobs they have run (though not specifically, merely for the world building) and that the juxtaposition of fantastical realms and non-dreaming reality is causing a problem for the characters (focused on Arthur and Eames but that could be changed). Here is something of a rough draft of what I am thinking of doing:

"When your job is to inhabit worlds of fantasy [flash labyrinth, painting (WDMC)], of the past [Titianic boarding (T), {need second historical piece}], of the future [flash street scene (BTTF2), ], of heaven [flash ballroom (L), library (WDMC)], and hell [flash wasteland (WDMC), trash heaps (L)] the real world slips further and further away [flash Eames staring in mirror (I), Arthur looking concerned (I), quite color leeched street (Pleasantville)]."

I think this is fine as long as you're alright with an author who is not familiar with the canons of the various other fantasy worlds writing a story that makes only passing mention of said worlds without delving too much into details. We just want to avoid situations in which writing a coherent story for a piece is completely dependent on an author having a high degree of familiarity with an unrelated canon.
