Inception Reverse Bang

Reminders:

• Posting begins on the February 11. It is up to each Artist/Author team to decide who will make the Master Post entry to i_reversebang. If a piece has two assigned Authors, the Artist must make the Master Post.

• When posting to i_reversebang, use the template located here.

• Please be conscientious about using appropriate warnings or indicate it is a Choose Not to Warn story. If you have questions about proper warnings to put on your fic, feel free to send an e-mail to ireversebang @ gmail to discuss the issue.

• Every Master Post made to i_reversebang will be placed in a moderation queue and reviewed before being allowed through. However, please note that we (the mods) will not be able to read every fic in its entirety as it is posted.

• Banners are permitted in the Master Post as long as they are work-safe and no larger than 400px in width and 350px in height.

• All stories must have a minimum word count of 3000 words.

• If you have any questions, please comment to this post or send us an e-mail,. We did our best to accommodate everyone's scheduling requests, but could not give everyone exactly what they wanted due to the time constraints.

• This challenge is open to all pairings and genres, so long as it includes at least one character from Inception. Artists may choose to specify what pairings (if any) they envision in the story, as well as submit a short text description of their piece (optional).


• We will have a post for Art Beta volunteers for artists to contact directly, but having your artwork looked over by a Beta is not required.

Rules for the Authors:

• Authors must write a fic with a minimum of 3,000 words, based on the art you choose in the Art Claims post. Claims will be first come, first serve. Your fic must be related to the art for which it is written, and it cannot have been already posted elsewhere.


• The fics must be beta read, and we will have a post for Fic Beta volunteers available for authors to contact directly.

There are no maximum size or dimensions for art, though each art piece must be at least 400 by 600 pixels. If it is a vid it must be at least 1 minute in length. Art that is submitted should not be posted publicly before claims take place.

Art submissions may be works in progress, drafts, or finished products. More details on the art submission process will be posted to the community, so please be sure to join and watch the community for updates.

Art claims will officially begin on Saturday, Oct 15, though the post will be up 24 hours beforehand so that writers may take a look at all the art before actual claiming starts. The claims post will contain thumbnail previews that link to the full size version of the art and will be accompanied by an optional text description of the subject. All art will be posted anonymously, and claims will be first come, first serve.

The Claims Post(s) will be members-locked, so please be sure to join and watch the community in order to participate. I'd also recommend setting up tracking by clicking on the 'Pin' icon in the lj toolbar to have email notifications sent to you every time there's a new post in the community. Authors, fill out the form stating your preferred weeks for posting. Posting will take place over the course of three weeks: November 6 - 12 (Week 1), 13 - 19 (Week 2), and 20 - 26 (Week 3). You have until October 26 to fill out this form and have your preferences taken into account.

In the form, you may specify which weeks you would prefer to post in, or state that you have no preference. Bear in mind that everyone cannot post in Week 3, so please do not list that as your number one choice unless you have a solid reason for doing so.

Also, if you are writing two stories, please fill out the form twice. One time for when you'd like to post your first story, and a second time for when you'd like to post your second story.

Be sure to discuss this topic with your Artist(s), particularly if they will be making the Master Post for the piece to the i_reversebang community. If an Artist has two stories being written for a particular piece of their art, the Artist must make the Master Post to the community for that piece of art.
